The product contains the color tartrazine (E102), which under EU legislation carries a mandatory warning that it may have an adverse effect on children's activity and attention. This warning is legally required for all products containing this ingredient, regardless of the dose, so it should be taken seriously. For adult users at typical doses, there are no known serious safety concerns, but we recommend not giving the product to children, or consulting a pediatrician first. If this ingredient bothers you, there are products on the market without artificial colors, including a version of this same product without flavoring, sugar, sweeteners and colors, which the manufacturer offers separately.
The difference stems mainly from the smaller scoop size (28 g for this product compared to 30 g for some competitors) and from the fact that part of the powder is taken up by added ingredients such as glutamine, arginine and individual BCAA amino acids, not just the pure protein source. 21 g of protein is still within the generally recommended range of 20–40 g per meal for stimulating muscle protein synthesis (Jäger et al., 2017), but it is at the lower end of that range. If your goal is to maximize a single meal, you can simply use a slightly larger scoop or add another protein source to the meal.
Bromelain is an enzyme derived from pineapple that is often added to dietary supplements to support protein digestion. In this product it is present in a relatively small amount (0.04%), so its actual contribution to digestion at this dose is not clearly documented in independent human studies at comparable doses within a protein powder. This means it is more of an added-value formula ingredient than a scientifically well-established component at this quantity – the main function of the product remains providing protein and amino acids, not digestive support.
In the data available to us for this product, the manufacturer does not provide a publicly available independent laboratory report covering tests for heavy metals, microbiology or banned substances for the specific product batch. This is a difference compared to some competitors in this category, who publish such reports publicly. The absence of public testing doesn't necessarily mean the product is unsafe, but it does mean less transparency for the buyer. Since roughly half of tested protein powders on the market exceed safety thresholds for certain heavy metals in independent analyses (Clean Label Project, 2025), it makes sense to check whether the manufacturer provides such data upon request when choosing a protein powder.
Milk, soy, eggs, peanuts, nuts, celery, fish, crustaceans, sulphur dioxide
Not suitable for vegans, as the protein is derived from cow's milk.
In people with lactose intolerance, whey concentrate may cause digestive disturbances and discomfort.
The added artificial sweetener sucralose may trigger mild bloating in people with very sensitive digestive systems.
The product contains the color tartrazine (E102), which may have an adverse effect on children's activity and attention – this is a legally mandated warning for products containing this ingredient.
