Pros and Cons

Magnesium, calcium and potassium are all in citrate form – a more easily absorbable form compared to cheaper salts
No added sugar
The sodium dose (270 mg/tablet) falls precisely within the recommended range for replacing sweat losses
Clear warning regarding the age restriction (not suitable under 16 years)
Effectiveness depends directly on correct dosing and sufficient water intake
Not suitable for everyday hydration at rest, as it contains an increased salt concentration
Regular consumption may, due to its acidity, affect tooth enamel in the long run
Potassium (100 mg) and magnesium (25 mg) are relatively low-dosed per tablet

Suitable for

Endurance athletes with long training sessions
Individuals who sweat heavily during exercise
Athletes training in hot environments
People with a high level of physical activity
Vegans and vegetarians
Yes, the choice of mineral form affects how much the body actually absorbs and how well the digestive system tolerates it. Citrate salts (magnesium, calcium and potassium citrate) are considered more bioavailable and better tolerated than some cheaper alternatives, such as magnesium oxide, which has an absorption rate of only around 4% (Koc et al., 2025; Merschmann et al., 2025). This is one of the reasons why this product stands out above most others in this category in our ingredient quality assessment.
At the recommended ratio (1 tablet in 500 ml of water), you get approximately 540 mg of sodium per liter of drink, which falls precisely within the generally recommended range of 500-700 mg of sodium per liter for replacing sweat losses during longer exercise or exercise in the heat (Pérez-Castillo et al., 2024). During very long efforts or extremely heavy sweating, you may drink an additional tablet if needed, but always in accordance with the label instructions (maximum 4 tablets per day).
No, the manufacturer explicitly states that the product is not suitable for persons under 16 years of age. This warning makes sense to follow, as electrolyte needs and the safety profile in younger adolescents are not the same as in adults, and clinical data on the safety of such highly concentrated electrolyte supplements in this age group are limited. For those under 16, we recommend consulting a pediatrician or sports physician regarding appropriate hydration during sports.
Replenishing electrolytes lost through sweating is one factor that can contribute to a lower incidence of muscle cramps, but evidence suggests that the cause of cramps during exercise is multifactorial and not fully explained by electrolyte status alone – one study showed only a modest reduction in exercise-associated muscle cramps when using an electrolyte-amino acid drink compared to a regular carbohydrate-electrolyte drink (McIntosh et al., 2024). The product can therefore be viewed as support for general hydration, not as a guaranteed solution against cramps.
