How to use

We recommend taking 5 g (one teaspoon) 2 to 4 times daily, split around training as needed.

Pros and Cons

High leucine ratio (4:1:1) - leucine is considered a key trigger of anabolic signaling pathways (mTOR)
Suitable for use during periods of more intense training or in a caloric deficit
Sugar-free and low in energy
Flexible dosing up to 4 times daily makes it easier to reach the doses used in studies on reducing muscle soreness
Contains only three essential amino acids (BCAAs), so it is not a complete protein source
Contains two artificial sweeteners (sucralose and acesulfame K) and a coloring - may cause bloating in sensitive individuals
If total daily dietary protein intake is already sufficient, the additional benefit of standalone BCAA supplementation is limited (Wolfe, 2017)
Among the products compared in this category, it has no publicly available independent lab testing data

Suitable for

Athletes who train frequently or intensely and want support with recovery
Individuals in a caloric deficit who want help maintaining muscle mass
Users who want flexible dosing - up to 4 doses per day
Science does not currently reliably support direct claims of faster muscle growth with standalone BCAA use. Wolfe (2017) showed that BCAAs without the remaining essential amino acids do not stimulate muscle protein synthesis, and when administered intravenously they even reduced overall muscle protein turnover. A more reliably documented benefit is a reduction in muscle soreness and markers of muscle damage after exercise (Fouré and Bendahan, 2017; Khemtong et al., 2021). If your total daily protein intake already meets your needs, additional BCAAs are unlikely to contribute to muscle growth - their real role is mainly supporting recovery, not building muscle mass.
The product contains sunset yellow coloring (E110), which under EU legislation (Regulation 1333/2008) is labeled with a warning that it may adversely affect children's activity and attention. This warning applies to a group of six synthetic colorings (the so-called 'Southampton six'), which includes sunset yellow. Since the product is otherwise intended for adult athletes, we recommend that children not consume it, and it's worth monitoring the response in sensitive adults as well. If you're looking for a product without artificial colorings, alternatives are available in this category, such as Proteini.si Natural BCAA, which does not contain colorings.
The manufacturer recommends 5 g (one teaspoon) 2 to 4 times daily, which amounts to 10-20 g of BCAAs per day. This is consistent with the ranges used in clinical studies on reducing post-exercise muscle soreness (roughly 5-20 g/day), with a more recent meta-regression showing that higher total doses and longer, consistent supplementation (more than 7 days) yield better results (Salem et al., 2024). A single daily dose will likely have a less noticeable effect than regular use of 2-4 doses spread throughout the day or around training.
For healthy adults, combining BCAAs and a protein shake within recommended doses is generally safe, but keep in mind that in this case the BCAAs partially duplicate amino acids you're already getting from the protein. Watch out for the two artificial sweeteners in the formula (sucralose and acesulfame K), which may cause bloating in a sensitive digestive tract, as well as traces of milk, soy, eggs, and gluten. We advise individuals with maple syrup urine disease or advanced liver disease to consult a doctor before use, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Milk, soy, eggs, gluten
Contains sucralose and acesulfame K - in individuals with a very sensitive digestive tract, the artificial sweeteners may trigger mild bloating
Exceeding the recommended dose may cause digestive issues (bloating, nausea, stomach discomfort)
Contains sunset yellow coloring (E110) - labeled with a warning about possible negative effects on children's activity and attention, in accordance with EU legislation
Contains traces of milk, soy, eggs and gluten - be cautious if you have allergies
Individuals with maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) or advanced liver disease should use the product only after consulting a doctor
