How to use

Mix 7 g (approximately 2 level scoops) with 500 ml of water. Consume up to twice a day. The powder settles over time, so we recommend weighing it for the most accurate dose.

Pros and Cons

Precisely stated content of all five electrolytes (sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium, calcium) in milligrams per dose
Sodium (277 mg per dose) is, at the recommended dilution, close to the target concentration for replenishment during exercise
Magnesium and sodium are in citrate form, which is considered a well bioavailable organic salt
No added sugar and low energy value, suitable for use during activity itself
Coconut water powder as an additional natural source of electrolytes
Does not contain carbohydrates for additional energy during prolonged endurance exercise
Potassium content (92.6 mg) and magnesium content (69.8 mg) per dose is lower than in some specialized electrolyte products
Contains the sweeteners sucralose and acesulfame K
Serves as hydration support, not a substitute for adequate fluid intake

Suitable for

Athletes and recreational sports enthusiasts
Runners, cyclists and other endurance athletes
Individuals who sweat heavily and train in hot weather
Individuals wanting to support hydration during or after exercise
Vegans and vegetarians
Yes, based on the ingredients, this is a plant-based product – the electrolytes come from mineral salts (sodium citrate, magnesium citrate salts, potassium gluconate, calcium chloride), with added coconut water powder and red grape juice. The only warning on the label is that the product is made in a facility that also processes milk, so it may contain traces of milk due to cross-contamination, not because milk is actually included as an ingredient. If you have a severe milk allergy, keep this in mind, but otherwise the product is suitable for vegans.
The manufacturer recommends 7 g (two scoops) per 500 ml of water. At this dilution you get approximately 554 mg of sodium per liter, which is within the 500-700 mg/L range that experts most commonly cite as the target concentration for effective rehydration during longer or intense exercise (Pérez-Castillo et al., 2024). If you prepare a more concentrated solution (less water), the sodium concentration will be higher, but this may worsen taste and digestive tolerance, so we do not recommend significantly altering the recommended ratio without reason.
Impact Hydrate is designed primarily as a low-calorie product for controlling sugar intake, so it does not contain added carbohydrates for energy – it only contains trace amounts from natural flavors and grape juice (3.3 g per dose, with no added sugar). For short or moderate exercise, this is not a limitation, as the product's main purpose is electrolyte replenishment, not energy. During very long endurance exercise (over 90 minutes), where the body also needs a carbohydrate supply, you may need a separate energy source in addition to this product, such as a gel or a sports drink with carbohydrates.
The manufacturer recommends a maximum of two doses per day, which is safe for healthy adults with moderate use. However, the general rule is that electrolyte drinks are not necessary for everyday hydration if you don't sweat heavily – a balanced diet and water are sufficient. The product is not recommended for children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, and if you have chronic conditions or are taking medication, consult a doctor before regular use, as additional intake of potassium or sodium can affect existing health conditions (Sarnowski et al., 2022).
May contain traces of milk.
