The label dose (1.5 g) is intentionally lower to reduce the risk of skin tingling, which often occurs with single doses above approximately 800 mg-1.6 g (Trexler et al., 2015). The issue is that with the recommended twice-daily use, this gives you a total of around 3 g of beta-alanine per day, which is below the clinically studied range of 4-6 g/day needed for a significant increase in muscle carnosine (Trexler et al., 2015). If you want to achieve the full effect, consider adding a third dose during the day or gradually increasing to a total of at least 4 g daily.
Research shows that muscle carnosine, with regular daily intake of 4-6 g of beta-alanine, increases noticeably (by approximately 40-60%) only after at least 2-4 weeks of continuous use, with the effect on performance being most pronounced for efforts lasting from 60 seconds to 4 minutes, such as interval training (Trexler et al., 2015). With this product, where the recommended use provides a somewhat lower daily intake, it's reasonable to expect a similar or somewhat longer time before a noticeable difference appears. We recommend consistent daily use, even on non-training days, since carnosine builds up gradually.
Tingling or prickling of the skin (paresthesia) is a well-documented and harmless side effect of beta-alanine, caused by stimulation of peripheral nerve receptors; with this product, due to the lower single dose (1.5 g), it is less likely than with products containing 4 g per dose, but it can still occur in more sensitive individuals (Trexler et al., 2015). The sensation typically subsides within 60-90 minutes and poses no health risk. If it bothers you, try splitting the dose into several smaller portions throughout the day or take it with a meal.
Yes, beta-alanine works through a different mechanism than creatine (it supports intracellular acid buffering via carnosine, while creatine supports rapid ATP regeneration), so the combination is common in sports practice and is not flagged as problematic in research (Trexler et al., 2015). Just be mindful of how much beta-alanine any pre-workout product you use already contains, so you don't exceed the recommended daily intake and unnecessarily increase the intensity of tingling. When combining multiple products, always add up the total daily amount of active ingredients.
May contain traces of milk, soy, eggs and gluten-containing cereals.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose
Use is not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children due to a lack of safety data
Some individuals may experience temporary tingling or prickling of the skin, which is a common effect of beta-alanine
