Description of BATTERY ZMA
Short summary
A combination of magnesium, zinc and vitamin B6 is a convenient choice for everyday body support. It contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, the immune system and energy metabolism. The capsule is best taken separately from foods rich in calcium, as calcium can reduce the absorption of zinc and magnesium.

How to use
Take the capsule with a glass of water before bedtime. Do not take it together with dairy products, as the calcium in them reduces the absorption of zinc and magnesium. For best results, use it regularly, every evening at a similar time.
Pros and Cons
Combines three nutrients that contribute to the functioning of the nervous and immune systems
Zinc is in a form that is better absorbed by the body
Magnesium is in a form that is less well absorbed by the body (oxide)
Contains a relatively high dose of zinc for daily long-term use
Suitable for
People with increased needs for magnesium and zinc – e.g. during intensive training
Athletes during periods of intensive training and recovery – support for muscles and the nervous system
Probably not much. Zinc and magnesium are most beneficial for people who actually have a deficiency – for example due to intensive training, a monotonous diet or increased physical strain. If your diet is already varied and balanced, additional intake of these two minerals is unlikely to bring noticeable additional benefits.
Magnesium contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, which is why many users take it in the evening. Research on the effect of the ZMA combination on sleep quality and morning readiness in athletes shows mixed results with relatively small effects (Nutrients, 2024). Magnesium is therefore not a substitute for sleep-improvement measures such as a regular schedule or less screen time in the evening, but it can offer mild support.
Yes, quite a lot. Magnesium is available in several forms that differ in how well the body absorbs them. This product uses magnesium oxide, one of the cheaper forms, which has lower bioavailability than, for example, citrate or bisglycinate (Lindberg et al., 1990) – meaning that for the same dose taken, the body actually makes use of less magnesium.
At doses of around 15 mg per day, short-term use is safe for healthy adults, although the dose is already close to the upper limit of the recommended daily intake. With long-term continuous use, this can interfere with copper absorption from food, so it is not advisable to take it throughout the entire year without a break – an occasional break, for example a few weeks every few months, is a sensible precaution.
No major allergens declared.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose – high doses of zinc can, in the long term, interfere with copper absorption.
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
