Description of Beta-Alanine

Short summary

AllNutrition Beta-alanin (available via FutuNature) is a capsule form of beta-alanine – an amino acid that supports carnosine synthesis in muscles and helps buffer intracellular acidosis during high-intensity exercise. The formula is complemented with taurine and vitamin B6, which contributes to normal energy metabolism. The product is intended for athletes and active individuals who want to maintain the intensity of effort for longer during demanding workouts, and it does not contain caffeine or other stimulants.

How to use

Take 4 capsules daily, together with water or juice. Beta-alanine works gradually through the accumulation of carnosine in the muscles, so daily use is important for the best results, even on non-training days.

Pros and Cons

Contains a combination of beta-alanine, taurine and vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism
Suitable for athletes and physically active individuals seeking additional endurance support
The content of all three active ingredients is stated in precise mg values, without a proprietary blend
Effects are most noticeable with regular, long-term physical activity – this is not a product with an immediate effect
Contains gelatin, so it is not suitable for vegans and vegetarians
The daily dose (2880 mg) is below the clinically established range of 4–6 g/day, so the expected benefit may be more moderate than with higher doses
The instructions suggest taking all 4 capsules at once, which, for a single intake above approximately 1.6 g, increases the likelihood of skin tingling

Suitable for

Athletes in team sports
Runners, cyclists and swimmers
Individuals doing HIIT and interval training
People wanting to improve endurance during high-intensity exercise
This is paresthesia – a well-known and harmless effect of beta-alanine that occurs when a single dose exceeds approximately 800 mg to 1.6 g (Trexler et al., 2015). Since this product recommends taking all 4 capsules (2880 mg of beta-alanine) at once, the tingling sensation is expected at this dose and usually subsides within 60–90 minutes. There is no evidence that it is harmful, but if it is bothersome, you can split the dose into two smaller intakes throughout the day (e.g., 2+2 capsules), which reduces the intensity of the sensation without reducing the total daily amount.
The daily dose of this product is slightly below the lower limit of the clinically studied range of 4–6 g/day cited by the ISSN (Trexler et al., 2015) for a significant increase in muscle carnosine. This doesn't mean the dose has no effect – only that the expected benefit is likely smaller than with a full dose. Research also shows that individual response varies considerably (Dolan et al., 2020), so some people achieve better results at lower doses than others. If you want to reliably reach the research-confirmed threshold, consider an additional source of beta-alanine or a product with a higher dose per serving.
Taurine and vitamin B6 are added as supporting ingredients, not as the main driver of the effect – that remains beta-alanine. Vitamin B6 has an officially approved health claim stating that it contributes to normal energy metabolism, which is a sensible addition for physically active individuals. For taurine, there is currently no direct evidence that at this dose (319.2 mg) it further enhances beta-alanine's effect on performance – so it's more of a complementary rather than a key ingredient. If you're primarily looking for the most researched effect on endurance, the total daily intake of pure beta-alanine matters most.
For pregnant and breastfeeding women, there is practically no data on the safety of beta-alanine use, as research to date has largely not included this population (de Oliveira et al., 2023). The manufacturer therefore explicitly states that use is not recommended without prior consultation with a doctor. We recommend consulting a doctor or gynecologist familiar with your health situation before using any dietary supplements during pregnancy or breastfeeding – AdvancedU cannot replace this professional assessment.
No major allergens listed.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose
Use is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women without prior consultation with a doctor
Temporary tingling or prickling of the skin may occur after consumption, which is a common and harmless effect of beta-alanine
