How to use
Mix 1 scoop (5 g) with 200 ml of water and consume before, during or immediately after training, when recovery and repair processes following physical activity are underway. The evidence is mixed and depends largely on how heavily you train. In healthy, well-nourished recreational trainees, well-controlled studies have not shown significant benefits for muscle strength, body composition or the immune system (Gleeson, 2008). On the other hand, newer, smaller studies in heavily loaded athletes (e.g. combat sports) show possible benefits for mucosal immunity and hormonal status after intense training periods (Melo et al., 2024). If you train recreationally and are otherwise well-nourished, realistically expect mainly mild support for recovery rather than a dramatic improvement in performance.
The price depends mainly on the brand, packaging and distribution costs, not on any difference in the active ingredient itself - glutamine is a single amino acid, so unlike, for example, magnesium, there are no different chemical forms that would affect quality. The key criterion is the purity of the free form of L-glutamine, which is the same in this product as in cheaper alternatives in the same product category. If price per gram is an important factor in your choice, it makes sense to compare the final price relative to pack size and glutamine content per dose across different products.
Yes, glutamine can be safely combined with other common supplements such as whey protein or creatine, as these are separate ingredients with different mechanisms of action. You can simply mix it into the same drink or take it at a different time of day - timing is not critical; what matters more is reaching your total daily target intake of each ingredient. If you are taking several different dietary supplements at the same time, we recommend checking the combined content of individual ingredients so you don't exceed the recommended daily amounts, and consulting a professional if needed.
We cannot guarantee this, and AdvancedU does not market this product as a medicine or a treatment for any health condition. Glutamine does serve as an important energy substrate for the cells of the intestinal lining (enterocytes), which is why it is studied in the clinical literature in relation to certain digestive and critical health conditions, but these benefits are documented mainly in clinical or catabolic populations, not as self-help for IBS in the general population (Gleeson, 2008). If you have been diagnosed with IBS or other digestive issues, please consult a doctor or gastroenterologist before starting any dietary supplement.
May contain traces of milk, soy, eggs, celery, sulfites, crustaceans and nuts.
The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded
People with liver impairment (e.g. cirrhosis) or other chronic conditions should consult a doctor before use
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use
