How to use

Take 1 dose (3 g = 1 scoop) daily, preferably before training. Mix the dose with 130 ml of water and consume immediately after preparation.

Pros and Cons

Contains L-carnitine L-tartrate (LCLT) - the scientifically best-researched form of carnitine for sports use (Waldman et al., 2021)
Dose of 1500 mg of L-carnitine per serving, supplemented with magnesium and vitamin B6
Available in two flavors (orange, cherry) for easier inclusion in your daily routine
A dose of 1500 mg/day is somewhat below the lower limit of the clinically studied range for weight management (1.8-4 g/day) (Pooyandjoo et al., 2016; Askarpour et al., 2020)
Contains maltodextrin, artificial sweeteners (acesulfame K, sucralose) and colorings, which lowers the share of pure active ingredients in the formula
The ingredient list states an extensive range of colorings for various product flavors, making it harder to precisely understand which colorings are actually present in the chosen variant
No publicly published independent laboratory test report

Suitable for

People looking for a pre-workout drink with L-carnitine in a tasty, flavored form
People combining supplementation with sports activity and a caloric deficit
People who are fine with a standard (not premium) form of L-carnitine L-tartrate
L-carnitine L-tartrate (LCLT) is a rapidly soluble salt of L-carnitine and one of the scientifically best-researched forms for sports use - it was used, for example, in a five-week randomized, placebo-controlled study that showed improved post-exercise recovery (Waldman et al., 2021). Compared to an unspecified 'L-carnitine base' used by some other products, LCLT offers a more standardized and better-documented form, which is an advantage of this product.
1500 mg per day is somewhat below the lower limit of the 1.8-4 g/day range used in clinical studies on the effect of L-carnitine on body weight (Pooyandjoo et al., 2016; Askarpour et al., 2020), but it's not far off. At this kind of dose, you can expect at most a modest additional effect on weight loss, and only in combination with an appropriate caloric deficit and physical activity - L-carnitine alone is not a miracle weight-loss agent.
Manufacturers often list on a shared label all the colorings used across the entire range of the product's flavors (e.g., for all 'cola' variants), which can be misleading when reading it, since your specific bottle (e.g., orange or cherry) likely doesn't contain all the ones listed. Nevertheless, this reduces label clarity for the consumer, as without additional inquiry with the manufacturer it's not possible to know exactly which colorings are actually present in your chosen variant.
The manufacturer explicitly states that the product is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, so we advise against it during this period. For people with kidney disease there is no official warning on the label, but since carnitine metabolism can be impaired in kidney disease, we recommend consulting a doctor before use, as well as if you have epilepsy or other neurological conditions, since carnitine can, in rare cases, affect the occurrence of seizures (NIH ODS, 2023).
No major allergens listed.
