How to use

The recommended daily amount is 2 teaspoons (4 g) of powder. Mix it with water, juice, a smoothie or another drink of your choice; if desired, you can add honey or another sweetener to soften the bitter taste. Use once daily, preferably always at the same time, as the effects of adaptogenic plants generally develop gradually with regular use.

Pros and Cons

Supports the body's adaptation to stress as an adaptogenic plant
Contributes to physical and mental relaxation
100% organic (BIO) ashwagandha powder – with no added flavors, preservatives, colorants or fillers
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, as it is an exclusively plant-based ingredient
Does not contain a standardized extract with a defined withanolide content, so the concentration of active compounds is less predictable than with standardized extracts (e.g. KSM-66)
The earthy, bitter taste of the powder may not suit all users
As with adaptogenic plants generally, effects typically develop gradually with regular use, not immediately
No publicly available independent laboratory test report for the product batch

Suitable for

Adults who want to support mental and physical well-being amid everyday strain
Individuals under increased daily stress or mental burden
Vegans and vegetarians – the product contains an exclusively plant-based ingredient with no animal-derived additives
Not necessarily to the same extent. This product contains plain, non-standardized ashwagandha root powder, whereas products with KSM-66® extract are standardized to at least 5% withanolides – meaning the content of active compounds is known and reproducible, which was also the basis for most clinical studies, for instance on lowering cortisol at a dose of 600 mg daily (Pakhale et al., 2025). With plain powder, the manufacturer does not disclose the withanolide content, so the effect is less predictable and not directly comparable to the results of those studies, although the 4 g daily dose falls within traditionally used amounts. If you're looking for a more clinically predictable effect, a standardized extract is a more reliable choice; if you prioritize organic origin and a simple composition, this product is a sensible alternative.
Caution is warranted with thyroid conditions, which is why the label explicitly advises against use in cases of overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) – in rare cases, instances of thyrotoxicosis have been recorded with ashwagandha use (Winther, 2026). On the other hand, some sources mention that ashwagandha may even help normalize thyroid hormones in hypothyroidism, but this is not a reason for self-treatment. Since this topic directly concerns the functioning of a hormonal gland, we recommend consulting a doctor or endocrinologist before use, especially if you are already taking thyroid medication – they will be able to assess whether use is safe for you.
Clinical studies examining the effect of ashwagandha on stress mostly lasted between 30 and 112 days, so it's reasonable to expect a gradual, not immediate, effect (Della Porta et al., 2023). It's also worth noting a more recent meta-analysis, which confirmed a significant reduction in cortisol (a biochemical marker of stress) but found no statistically significant effect on perceived, subjective stress as measured by the PSS scale (Albalawi, 2025). This means that physiological effects don't necessarily translate into you subjectively feeling less stressed – results are individual, and the product is not intended as a substitute for treating chronic anxiety or other medical conditions.
No, use of this product during pregnancy is not recommended, which is also clearly stated on the packaging. Out of caution, some experts advise pregnant and breastfeeding women against ashwagandha due to its possible effect on hormonal balance, although more recent reviews partially ease these concerns, with evidence remaining limited (NIH ODS, 2025; Winther, 2026). Since this is a period where fetal safety is crucial, and controlled studies in pregnant women are lacking, we advise against making this decision on your own and recommend consulting your gynecologist first about any dietary supplement during pregnancy.
No major allergens listed.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Use is not recommended during pregnancy.
Not recommended in cases of overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism).
For people with liver conditions, those taking medications (e.g. sedatives, immunosuppressants or psychiatric medications), and breastfeeding mothers, we recommend consulting a doctor before use.
