Instructions

1
In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the whole grain shells according to the package instructions until "al dente". Before draining, reserve 0,5 dl of the pasta cooking water.
2
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 4–5 minutes until it becomes translucent and softens.
3
Add the ground turkey meat. Break it apart with a wooden spoon and cook for about 6–7 minutes, until it fully changes color and lightly browns.
4
Stir in the garlic, oregano, sweet paprika, salt and pepper. Sauté for just 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant, then pour in the pureed tomatoes.
5
Simmer the sauce over low heat for 10–15 minutes, until the flavors meld and it thickens slightly. If the sauce is too thick, add a tablespoon or two of the pasta cooking water.
6
Add the drained shells to the pan with the cooked sauce. Mix everything well so the sauce coats the pasta, and serve immediately.
