In a small bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients (tamari, sweetener, sesame oil, stock base, and starch). Stir until the starch has completely dissolved.

Heat one tablespoon of oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the beef strips and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned, then remove them to a plate.

In the same pan, add the remaining oil, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 1 minute, then add the broccoli florets and 2 tablespoons of water. Cover the pan for 2 minutes to let the broccoli steam slightly while remaining crunchy.

Return the beef to the pan with the broccoli. Pour in the prepared sauce and cook for another 2–3 minutes over medium heat, until the sauce thickens and nicely coats all the ingredients.

Serve immediately, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
