The Game Plan Physical Therapy is a Brooklyn practice focused on sports-related pain and running injuries. Therapists begin with an individual assessment to identify the underlying cause of pain before building a treatment and training plan, using manual therapy and cupping alongside general sports physiotherapy. Sessions are one-on-one, with therapists working directly with each patient on training goals and injury history. The practice keeps extended weekday hours. It is most suitable for runners and athletes managing sports-related pain, and active adults recovering from a training injury.

I came to Game Plan PT as a final attempt to deal with recurring and pretty painful shin splints as well as a few other overuse issues that I couldn't resolve with the hope of running an ultra in the next few months. Vin and Paul were so incredibly helpful right from the start. They took noticeable time and care to understand my situation, really listening to my concerns and theories, and ultimately provided thoughtful, actionable guidance throughout every session. There’s so much information online that makes us feel like we can diagnose and fix our injuries ourselves. But working Vin and Paul you realize how silly it is to try to self diagnose such complex issues. They helped me understand why my injuries were happening, connecting them to my specific training regimen, running and lifting mechanics, and even lifestyle factors like sleep and nutrition. I can’t recommend these guys enough - if you’re serious about recovery or prevention then this is the place to go.

Was experiencing some foot pain after a Half-Marathon and wasn’t sure how to properly diagnose it or move forward with a plan. I decided to go to TGP PT to get to the bottom of the issue. Not only did they accurately diagnose the problem, but they also took the time to educate me on the what, how, and why behind the pain. We put together a clear plan that helped me get back to running and continue working toward my next goal which was running NYC. The support from TGP has been excellent. Not just during each PT session, but also outside of appointments where they were available to answer minor questions. Beyond running pain-free and achieving my next goal, TGP has helped me run with more confidence and without the constant fear of injury. Highly recommend for any runner dealing with pain or looking to stay healthy long-term!

Game Plan PT is great! I'm a runner and I came to rehab a chronically sore achilles. Dr. Paul was attentive and thoughtful in assessing the injury and designing a rehab plan (stretching and strength training on my own, along with treatment during our appointments). This plan allowed me to continue running while monitoring my injury and working to resolve it. This Achilles injury had been lingering for years and is now almost completely resolved, even though I've continued to train and raced two half-marathons since I started seeing Dr. Paul. The office/facilities are great and communication is top-notch.

I had a hip injury from rock climbing, and at first I was going to group/non 1:1 PT for 3 times a week and for 5 weeks total and had limited progress. I was really frustrated because I wanted to go back to rock climbing but it seemed to make the injury worse. My friend recommended me to go to The Game Plan so I decided to give it a go. they are super friendly and knowledgeable, and prices are reasonable. They asked what my goals are and designed a plan for me. Communication was easy too whenever I have questions, I can just text them. After one month I was already feeling much better, and now after 3 months I'm 90% recovered, I can go back to rock climbing normally. Each session might seem more expensive than other non 1:1 PTs but the best part is most of the exercises I can do at home, so I'm going there less frequently than the one I went to before this, which makes it actually cheaper on the long run. Dr. Vincent was super friendly and I highly recommend!

I started seeing Dr. Paul when I was prepping for a half marathon. My main goal was just to stay healthy while building my mileage which is a stressful puzzle to figure out on your own. Working with him has been awesome because his entire approach is completely personalized. He runs specific tests on day one and builds your exercise plan exactly from those results. The coolest part was being able to compare my data over several months and prove that I was fixing my weak spots. I ended up feeling incredible and running a PR at my half. Now I am officially training for a full marathon and I still see Dr. Paul regularly to retest my strength and make sure my body is ready for it.
