Instructions

In a large bowl, mix the ground meat with all the dry seasonings: sage, thyme, ginger, salt, pepper, and paprika. If you'd like a slightly sweet touch, add maple syrup.

Knead the mixture thoroughly with your hands so the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Shape the mixture into 8 evenly sized meatballs. Flatten each one slightly so they are about 1–1.5 cm thick.

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Place the meatballs in the pan and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked through and golden brown.

Serve hot with whole-grain carbohydrates or fresh vegetables.
