Instructions
1
Pour the plant-based drink into a saucepan and add a pinch of salt and orange zest. Heat the liquid over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
2
Once the drink boils, slowly pour in the wheat semolina and cocoa powder while stirring constantly with a whisk. Stirring is key to preventing lumps from forming.
3
Reduce the heat to minimum and cook the semolina for another 3–5 minutes (or according to the package instructions), until it thickens into a creamy texture. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
4
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir the honey (or maple syrup) and pieces of dark chocolate into the hot semolina. Mix until the chocolate has completely melted and the semolina turns evenly brown.
5
Pour the semolina into a bowl. Garnish the top with chopped hazelnuts, an orange slice, and an extra piece of chocolate, which will slowly melt on the hot semolina.
Nutritional benefits
Thanks to the high content of antioxidants in dark chocolate and complex carbohydrates in whole-grain semolina, this meal provides stable energy and supports cognitive function.
