Instructions

1
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2
Stack the tortillas on top of each other. Using a pizza cutter, cut them in half, then into quarters, and finally into eighths to get triangle shapes.
3
In a large bowl or bag, mix the olive oil, lime juice, smoked paprika, garlic, salt, and cumin.
4
Toss the tortilla triangles into the bowl with the spices. Cover the bowl and shake it well so that each piece is evenly coated with oil and spices. This is quicker and more effective than brushing them.
5
Arrange the triangles on the baking tray in a single layer. They shouldn't overlap too much, or they won't bake evenly.
6
Bake for 10–12 minutes. Halfway through, carefully turn them or shake the tray well. The chips are done when the edges become firm and golden brown.
7
Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool on the tray. They will become even crispier as they cool.
