Instructions

Carefully separate the lettuce leaves from the head, wash them and dry them well. Set them aside to keep them crisp.

In a small bowl, prepare the sauce: mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey and chili.

Heat a little oil in a wok over high heat and add the ground chicken meat. Fry it for about 5–7 minutes, constantly breaking it into as small pieces as possible with a spatula, until fully cooked.

Add the chopped garlic, ginger and water chestnuts (or celery). Fry for another 2 minutes until the spices become fragrant.

Pour the prepared sauce into the pan and add half of the spring onion. Stir everything together for another minute so the chicken is evenly coated with the flavors.

Divide the filling among the prepared lettuce leaves. Garnish with grated carrot, the remaining spring onion and sesame seeds. Serve immediately, while the filling is hot and the lettuce is cold.
