Instructions
1
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Use enough water to completely cover the eggs. Once the water boils, reduce the heat slightly so the water is just gently simmering.
2
Carefully lower the eggs into the water using a spoon. Be careful that the shell doesn't crack when it touches the bottom.
3
Set a timer according to your desired yolk texture:
6 minutes: Runny yolk, soft white.
7 minutes: Creamy, partially runny yolk.
8 minutes: Soft but not runny yolk (perfect for salads).
10 minutes: Fully hard-boiled egg with a pale yolk.
4
While the eggs are cooking, prepare a bowl with cold water and ice cubes.
5
As soon as the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to the ice bath using a slotted spoon. Let them rest for at least 3–5 minutes. This will stop the cooking process and make peeling easier.
6
Gently tap the eggs against a hard surface and peel them under running water or in a bowl of water.
Nutritional benefits
