I have been lucky enough to train in gyms across several cities and countries because I genuinely enjoy experiencing new places through their fitness communities. Years ago, friends in New York introduced me to TMPL Hell’s Kitchen, and it has remained one of the most memorable gyms I have trained in. The atmosphere reminds me of other lively, LGBTQIA+ friendly spaces where people are there to work hard, enjoy themselves, and make everyone feel welcome. The lighting is fun without feeling gimmicky, the equipment is clean and well maintained, and the entire gym has an energy that makes it easy to look forward to your next workout. I have spent enough time around gyms and coaches over the years to appreciate the difference between someone who simply works as a trainer and someone who genuinely understands fitness. After getting to know Dena, it was clear that she falls into the latter category.

This is an amazing gym. It is well equipped with multiples of the equipment so you don’t need to wait long for anything. The salt water pool is rare and wonderful to have in the city. The gym is clean and doesn’t smell like a gym ☺️. More than all that, all the people that work there are warm and friendly.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM They use bait-and-switch tactics to get new members. Guest services and the General Manager gave me guest passes for the Hell’s Kitchen location as an incentive for my cousin to sign up. He ended up joining largely because of those perks. When I showed up to use the passes, the front desk suddenly said they don’t accept them. So they’ll promise incentives to get memberships, then refuse to honor them. Even worse, after denying the passes they tried to sell me a $50 day pass for the same gym they had already offered me access to for free?! I even came during off-peak hours out of respect for members, which made their excuse make even less sense. I’ve been a member at multiple gyms across NYC and have never seen such dishonest, scammy behavior. Save your money and go to a gym that actually honors what it promises.

Such a great gym. Brittany was very helpful at the front desk. The gym was very clean and has a great set up. The amenities were amazing. I used their steam room and jacuzzi. Complimentary lockers and even a mini spinning dryer for my trunks. Lastly the neon sign was a great touch. Made my day after a great workout.

I’ve been a member of several gyms over the years, but I can confidently say that TMPL Gym is currently in the best shape I’ve seen it in years. There is a noticeable shift in energy, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere that makes coming here the highlight of my day. The "Blaise" Difference The biggest game-changer has been the new management team led by Blaise. It’s rare to see a management team so visible and genuinely invested in the member experience. Blaise has brought a level of professionalism and attention to detail that was previously missing. Whether it's the seamless check-in process or the way the staff proactively engages with members, the leadership's influence is everywhere.
