Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
2
Wash and dry the bananas. Using a sharp knife, cut lengthwise along the curved side of the banana, but only through the top layer of the peel and flesh – do not cut through the bottom of the peel.
3
Carefully pry open the slit with your fingers to create a "pocket". Evenly press pieces of dark chocolate into the slit.
4
Place the bananas in a baking dish. To help them stand upright, you can use crumpled foil for support. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the peel is completely blackened and the chocolate has melted.
5
Remove the baked bananas from the oven. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon, a pinch of salt, and chopped roasted hazelnuts.
6
Serve immediately while still hot. Optionally, add a spoonful of cold Greek yogurt on the side for contrast.
Nutritional benefits
Thanks to the high potassium content in bananas and magnesium in dark chocolate, this dish supports muscle function and helps reduce fatigue.
