Instructions

1
Roast the hazelnuts in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 10 minutes. Be careful not to burn them; they are ready when they become fragrant and the skins crack.
2
Wrap the warm hazelnuts in a clean kitchen towel and rub them firmly between your palms to remove as much of the brown skin as possible (it can cause bitterness).
3
Pour the cleaned hazelnuts into a blender. Blend on high speed for a few minutes until the hazelnuts release their own oil and form a smooth, runny butter.
4
Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, melted dark chocolate, vanilla, and a pinch of salt to the blender. Blend again until the ingredients are combined.
5
While blending, gradually pour in the plant-based drink until you reach the desired creamy, spreadable texture.
6
Pour the spread into a clean bottle. It will firm up slightly further in the refrigerator. Use within 2 weeks.

Nutritional benefits

Thanks to the high content of healthy unsaturated fats from hazelnuts and antioxidants in real cocoa, this dish supports brain function and provides a stable source of energy without unnecessary blood sugar fluctuations.
